This route will be serviced four times a week using Airbus A330 aircraft, each capable of carrying 292 passengers. This direct connection is expected to enhance the travel experience for families visiting Walt Disney World Resort, which includes four theme parks.
Potential for Expansion
While the current agreement covers the aforementioned destinations, there are plans to potentially extend the partnership. Iberia also operates flights to Los Angeles and Tokyo, both significant locations for Disney, indicating future opportunities for collaboration. María Jesús López Solás, Iberia's Commercial Director, noted the potential for attracting repeat visitors to these parks.
Thematic Aircraft
As part of the collaboration, Iberia has also decorated one of its Airbus A320neo aircraft with characters from Disney Adventure World, including Olaf from World of Frozen and Buzz Lightyear from Worlds of Pixar. This thematic aircraft features over a hundred large-format vinyl panels, marking the second time Iberia has showcased Disney characters on its planes.
